Head of Korea

About the role

Speak, the #1 English learning app in Korea, is hiring a Head of Korea to build what comes next. You will own the entire B2C marketing engine for the company's first and largest market, covering brand, growth, partnerships and creative, and will set the direction for profitable growth. The role leads a lean team of marketers and designers, and you will act as the bridge to the San Francisco headquarters.

Key responsibilities

• Own Speak Korea's B2C marketing strategy end to end, setting direction on audience, messaging and channel mix.
• Grow B2C ARR against the market plan while meeting blended LTV/CAC goals, owning the full funnel across app and web.
• Hold and extend the #1 position in the Education category, aiming for above 50% top-of-mind awareness in the core segment and building the mid-funnel through consideration and branded search.
• Build, coach and retain talent across Brand, Growth, Partnerships, B2B and Marketing Design.
• Partner with Product to test new acquisition and monetization levers such as freemium variants, family and bundle offers, and new activation paths.
• Create B2C and B2B synergy around demand generation and market fit, working with regional and HQ B2B leaders.
• Translate Korea insights into global playbooks and bring global learnings back to the local market.

Required profile

• 12+ years in an integrated marketing function facing the Korea market, ideally in consumer tech or high-growth startups.
• Proven full-funnel marketing leadership, from acquisition through retention, balancing brand and performance management.
• Demonstrated experience building, coaching and managing marketers and designers of various levels.
• Native fluency in Korean and business fluency in English.
• Ability to travel as needed, most often to San Francisco HQ.
• Plus: director-level experience at a Series C consumer tech company, experience scaling from 1 to 10, depth in Korea's influencer and creator ecosystem, and a personal brand around language learning.
