Director, Global Supply Chain Management

About the role

Coupang is seeking an experienced Director, Global SCM to lead strategic supply chain initiatives across its Global eCommerce organization, Rocket Jikgu, which connects international sellers, logistics providers and customers through a global fulfillment network. The role shapes the architecture, cost structure and trade strategy of the international supply chain network, covering Korea (import/export), Taiwan (import), US, EU, Japan, China, Hong Kong and other export markets. This is an internal transfer opportunity for current employees.

Key responsibilities

• Plan the long-term global logistics network, including capacity modeling, linehaul routes, ocean/air freight and last-mile integration, and set network governance and throughput forecasting
• Manage global vendor relationships with carriers, freight forwarders, fulfillment partners and customs brokers, and lead procurement strategy and contract negotiations
• Run strategic logistics programs to improve delivery speed and reduce costs, and lead large-scale cross-functional supply chain transformations
• Own the global logistics P&L, drive VCPU reduction, and oversee billing audits, financial reconciliation and vendor payables
• Set trade strategy and compliance for Korea and Taiwan, working with customs authorities and monitoring tariffs and trade agreements

Required profile

• 15+ years of progressive experience in supply chain, global logistics or international network planning, with director-level leadership
• Bilingual Korean and English
• Deep experience in supply chain finance, VCPU reduction and vendor billing audits
• Expertise in cross-border trade compliance, customs and import/export operations for Korea and Taiwan
• Track record managing high-volume 3PL/carrier networks and multi-million-dollar logistics P&Ls

Preferred: experience in cross-border eCommerce, retail marketplace, consulting or tech-driven logistics, strong knowledge of Korea's logistics ecosystem, and a history of leading supply chain transformation and vendor partnership initiatives.
