Clinical Research Associate - Oncology Studies

About the role

AstraZeneca is hiring a Clinical Research Associate (CRA) who takes local responsibility for delivering oncology studies at allocated sites and is an active member of the local study teams. The CRA works closely with other CRAs and the Local Study Team / Local Study Associate Director to meet study commitments on time, and acts as the main contact with each study site. The role covers the preparation, initiation, monitoring and closure of assigned sites in line with AZ procedural documents, ICH-GCP and local regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage assigned clinical trial sites from start-up through close-out
• Build and maintain effective partnerships with investigators and site staff
• Carry out on-site and remote monitoring to ensure protocol and GCP compliance
• Support patient recruitment, data quality and study delivery objectives
• Identify risks and resolve issues promptly with study stakeholders
• Maintain study documentation and support inspection readiness

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Nursing or a related field
• Knowledge of ICH-GCP and local clinical trial regulations
• Understanding of clinical development and study management processes
• Strong communication, collaboration and organisational skills
• Ability to travel as required
• Desired: experience in oncology clinical trial monitoring or site management; ability to manage multiple studies and deadlines; familiarity with risk-based monitoring
