Child Military and Family Life Counselor - Osan

About the role

Leidos is hiring licensed behavioral health professionals to join its Child and Youth Behavioral, Military and Family Life Counselor (CYB-MFLC) team supporting Osan, South Korea. The role provides non-medical, preventive counseling, consultation and outreach to eligible faculty, staff, parents, children and youth, helping military families adjust to military life. Availability to start by January 4, 2027 is required.

Key responsibilities

• Work at installation Child Development Centers (CDCs) with children 0-5 and before or after-school care centers for school-aged children, youth and teens
• Engage in activities with children and youth, coach and guide staff and parents, and model behavior management techniques
• Give presentations on social skills development and social-emotional learning, and promote creativity and positivity through approved materials
• Build rapport with parents and families by attending installation and community events, and help children with transitions such as a new school or home
• Take part in in-service training and other contract activities, and report trends and issues to Team Leads
• Additional duties may include responding to emergent situations and traveling to locations inside and outside the base, including uneven outdoor terrain and weather exposure

Required profile

• Master's degree or higher in the Behavioral Health Professions (MS/MSW/MA/PhD)
• Valid independent license in the mental health field from any U.S. state or territory (e.g., LCSW, MHC, MFT, LPCC, Psychologist)
• U.S. citizenship
• Ability to pass a basic background check, a Child National Agency Check and NACI/CNACI clearance (Public Trust)
