Business Development Manager - Korea

About the role

A client of Timeo-Performance, a biotechnology company active for 30 years in the development of pharmaceutical-grade bio-polymers, is expanding strongly in Asia. It is looking for an experienced Business Development Manager Korea based in Seoul. The role develops sales of the company's products and solutions in Korea, supports current business growth and initiates new business opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Acquire new customers by identifying and capturing relevant contacts and prospects, and increasing sales over time
• Propose all products and services, follow up prospects and draw up sales contracts with new customers
• Implement sales and marketing action plans and increase collaboration with existing customers
• Build strong relationships of trust, increase the share of wallet of multi-sourcing customers and follow up customer needs regularly
• Suggest product and service improvements in conjunction with other departments
• Work closely with distributors and partners to maximise sales channels and market coverage
• Coordinate customer interactions with regulatory affairs, quality assurance, production and R&D, and represent the company at customer events and audits
• Contribute to competitive intelligence

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and qualifications
• More than 5 years of experience in sales, marketing, business development or product development
• Experience in quality or regulatory affairs is a plus
• Knowledge of aesthetics, pharma, medical devices or drugs is a strong plus
• Strong result orientation, with proven negotiation skills and ability to handle multiple priorities
• Team player able to work with marketing, sales and R&D teams
• Working proficiency in English
