APJ Manufacturing & Automotive Industry GTM Leader

About the role

Databricks is looking for a senior executive to lead its go-to-market (GTM) motion for the manufacturing and automotive industries across Asia Pacific and Japan (APJ). Reporting to the Global GTM Head for Manufacturing, Transportation and Energy, the role works closely with APJ sales, field engineering and GTM leadership. It suits someone who combines deep industry knowledge with a track record of using data and AI to create real business value.

Key responsibilities

• Lead GTM execution for manufacturing and automotive in APJ, driving pipeline growth and customer adoption
• Align with sales, field engineering, marketing, partnerships and product teams to run industry-specific GTM programs that turn opportunity into revenue
• Cultivate executive-level relationships with customers, partners and industry stakeholders, especially in Japan, Korea and India
• Deliver thought leadership through publications, conferences and executive briefings
• Analyse market trends, competition and customer needs to refine strategy and spot growth opportunities
• Define, track and report KPIs for GTM initiatives and travel regularly across APJ for customer meetings and events

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering or a related field; MBA or equivalent strongly preferred
• 10+ years of leadership in manufacturing, including at least 5 years in a GTM, strategy or business development role in enterprise technology
• Proven success bringing technology products or platforms to market with measurable results
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams without direct authority in a matrixed organisation and to build trusted relationships with senior executives in a multilingual, multicultural market

Required skills

• Expert knowledge of software-defined vehicles, industrial AI, agentic supply chain management or AI-driven engineering and R&D
• Familiarity with manufacturing and automotive industry standards bodies and frameworks across APJ
• Strong understanding of the modern data and AI landscape and its application to manufacturing operations, quality, supply chain and innovation
• Excellent written and verbal communication, able to explain technical and data concepts to executives
