AEM Production Manager – Yeosu, Korea

About the role

The AEM Production Manager will lead all manufacturing activities at our Yeosu plant, ensuring safe, efficient and cost-effective production that meets customer and business requirements. Reporting to the Plant Manager, you will coordinate planning, material flow, maintenance, projects and people development while upholding the highest EHSQ standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute production plans based on sales forecasts, customer needs and R&D demands, adjusting schedules for equipment availability and process constraints.
• Monitor daily manufacturing performance, drive productivity improvements and manage production budgets.
• Oversee raw material planning, inventory control and procurement coordination, ensuring accurate data in SAP and MES.
• Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance to maximise equipment reliability and plant availability.
• Provide technical leadership, coaching and first-level performance evaluations for operators.
• Lead plant expansion, modification projects and equipment commissioning, working with engineering, contractors and suppliers.
• Ensure compliance with BASF EHSQ policies, local regulations and international standards, managing risk assessments and safety inspections.

Required profile

• Proven experience in production management within an industrial or chemical manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of production planning, material management and maintenance coordination.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive continuous improvement.
• Knowledge of EHSQ regulations and best practices.
