AEM Process Engineer – Fixed‑Term (Yeosu, Korea)

About the role

This is a fixed‑term contract position (Sept 2026 – Feb 2028) for an AEM Process Engineer at a chemical manufacturing plant in Yeosu, South Korea. The role focuses on delivering CAPEX projects, optimizing process systems, and ensuring safe, efficient production.

Key responsibilities

• Lead CAPEX projects as the process engineer, supervising installation, FAT and SAT, and correcting implementation issues.
• Maintain and optimise the process system, update P&ID, SOPs, and operation manuals, and drive OpEx initiatives.
• Prepare technical reports and implement Management of Change (MOC) to improve safety, quality and cost.
• Develop inventory plans for raw materials and finished goods and manage them through S&OP meetings.
• Ensure compliance with EHS regulations, conduct workplace patrols, and support the EHS team.
• Report production statistics, control utility consumption, and analyse production costs.
• Lead, train and coach plant operators for safe and stable operation.
• Coordinate corrective and preventive maintenance with the maintenance team.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in chemical engineering or a related field (preferred).
• Minimum 3 years experience in a chemical manufacturing environment.
• Fluent English (reading, writing, speaking) and native‑level Korean.
• Strong communication skills for detailed technical documentation.
• Team player with a proactive, self‑motivated attitude.
