Senior Human Resources Manager (Maternity Cover, 12 Months)

About the role

PSI, a Contract Research Organization with 30 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, is looking for an experienced Senior Human Resources Manager for a 12-month maternity cover. The role provides strategic and operational HR support in a dynamic, international environment, partnering with local leaders and global stakeholders to drive HR initiatives, ensure compliance with employment regulations, support managers and improve the employee experience. It is a hands-on position requiring both strategic judgement and operational execution.

Key responsibilities

• Manage pre-employment formalities and ensure local requirements are met at the point of employment
• Maintain employee benefits administration and support resolution of employee queries
• Update HR policies, HR files and work agreements in line with local rules and regulations
• Support the Country Manager with HR matters and ensure compliance with local requirements
• Maintain attendance logs and verify leave-of-absence justifications
• Assist in evaluating staff performance after probation and on an ongoing basis
• Maintain hiring records, HR databases, staff CVs, training files and evaluation records
• Conduct exit interviews with departing staff
• Arrange and deliver corporate, procedural and other training for office and regional staff, coordinate training between offices and liaise with external parties
• Organize and schedule interviews, report on candidate testing, and maintain an applicant database using the applicant tracking system
• Verify salary, bonuses and benefits amounts and cooperate with the accounting team on salary calculations, tax forms and absence reports

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Law or a related discipline
• 8+ years of HR experience in a generalist or business partner capacity
• Strong knowledge of local employment legislation and HR practices
• Experience advising managers on performance management and employee matters
• Experience interpreting and implementing HR policies and procedures
• Exposure to compliance reviews, audits, labor inspections or regulatory requirements
• Ability to work with local and global stakeholders
