Project Manager & SCM Specialist

About the role

Hitachi Energy Korea is looking for a Project Manager and Supply Chain Management specialist in Cheonan, South Korea. The role covers end-to-end project execution for high-voltage products, from order hand-over to completion, and procurement and logistics for project-related equipment and materials. It is a full-time position with no visa requirement for overseas travel.

Key responsibilities

• Lead high-voltage product projects from order hand-over through completion, monitoring scope, cost, schedule, quality and delivery performance.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, milestones, progress reports and documentation, and coordinate engineering, manufacturing, quality, logistics and service teams.
• Act as the main contact for customers on project execution, technical clarifications and status updates, and communicate in fluent Korean and business-level English.
• Identify and mitigate project risks, and coordinate FAT, inspections, factory coordination, delivery planning and commissioning.
• Ensure compliance with contractual requirements, quality standards and HSE guidelines, and with all applicable regulations and procedures.
• Coordinate procurement of project equipment, materials and services, monitor purchase orders, supplier performance and manufacturing progress.
• Follow up material deliveries, expedite critical components, and coordinate with local and global suppliers, factories and freight forwarders.
• Support logistics planning, shipment tracking, customs coordination and delivery issue resolution, and identify supply chain risks and recovery plans.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration or a related field.
• Over 7 years of experience in project management, procurement, supply chain management or project engineering.
• Preferred: experience in electrical equipment, power systems, EPC projects, industrial projects or the energy industry.
• Experience with international suppliers, factories and cross-functional teams.
• No visa problem for overseas travel.

• Strong communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced project environment.
