Print Production Officer

About the role

Mars is looking for a Print Production Officer in Seoul to deploy the print quality improvement strategy decided by the Packaging Technology Manager. The role supports the Print Production Manager's vision, process and strategy, and covers the APAC region and all pack technologies used by the Royal Canin teams.

Key responsibilities

• Qualify and audit current and new printers on targets, process and KPIs
• Deploy the print quality improvement strategy and optimise print quality across all print technologies
• Define and control process and standards for print quality and colour management, and monitor KPIs on pack rendering consistency and quality
• Carry out first-print scoring and image profiling
• Lead prepress and print technology development projects and evaluate co-manufacturers, their processes and KPIs
• Provide technical support to the graphics team
• Engage with regional repro and printers, build trustful relationships and manage graphic partner improvement and performance
• Manage projects as technology deployments and set internal and external rules of work

Required profile

• At least 4 years of technical experience in packaging printing technology (printer or repro house)
• 4 years of professional experience in the graphic chain
• Successful packaging experience with a repro-house, photoengraver and/or printer
• Ability to understand problems fully, communicate clearly with internal and external stakeholders and report issues transparently
• Customer-focused, able to define processes, workflows, performance and quality criteria, and a strong sense of organisation and teamwork
• English
