Packaging Operator

About the role

Mars is looking for a multi-skilled Packing Assistant (Packaging Operator) to join its factory team. The role aims to achieve maximum efficiency on the packing lines while keeping the highest safety and quality standards, and involves taking part in continuous improvement projects in the packaging hall.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain packaging line efficiency according to the set plan and escalate any deviation from standard or plan
• Support colleagues in meeting the highest Safety, Quality and Efficiency standards across the packing hall
• Be responsible for achieving the GMP/GHP packaging score
• Make sure cleaning regimes are followed to the highest standard
• Take part in operational processes that support business performance improvement

Required profile

• Minimum 5 GCSEs at Grade C or above
• Excellent written and spoken English
• Experience in an FMCG manufacturing environment
• Mechanical background desirable but not essential
