Part-time Victim Advocate (On‑site) – Daegu, Korea

About the role

The Army’s Family Advocacy Program seeks a compassionate, on‑site part‑time Victim Advocate to support Soldiers, families, and civilians experiencing domestic violence. You will provide immediate crisis intervention, emotional support, and coordination with community resources.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct initial screening, risk and lethality assessments, and safety planning for victims of domestic abuse.
• Provide crisis intervention, arrange transportation, and accompany victims to medical, legal, or law‑enforcement appointments as requested.
• Assist victims in securing protective orders, emergency shelter, food, and benefits information.
• Maintain confidential records and ensure timely communication with the Family Advocacy Program Manager and other intervening agencies.
• Respond to victim contacts within 20 minutes by phone or within 60 minutes face‑to‑face when requested.
• Educate victims on their rights, available services, and disclosure options.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in victim advocacy, domestic violence intervention, or related social‑service fields.
• Ability to assess imminent risk and make appropriate referrals.
• Strong interpersonal skills and capacity to handle confidential, sensitive information.
• Availability to work on‑site in Daegu on a part‑time schedule.
