Part-time Victim Advocate (On-site) – Daegu, Korea

About the role
The Victim Advocate provides crisis intervention, emotional support, and comprehensive assistance to Soldiers, Army families, and civilians affected by domestic violence. Working on‑site in Daegu, the role operates 24/7 to ensure victims receive timely, confidential care and connection to community resources.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct initial screening, risk and lethality assessments, and develop safety plans for victims of domestic abuse.
- Provide emotional support, arrange transportation, and accompany victims to medical, legal, or law‑enforcement appointments as requested.
- Assist victims in securing protective orders, emergency shelter, food, and benefits information.
- Coordinate with the Family Advocacy Program Manager and other agencies to deliver a coordinated response.
- Maintain rapid response times: contact victims within 20 minutes by phone or within 60 minutes face‑to‑face when needed.
- Document disclosures, explain reporting options, and ensure first responders are engaged during imminent danger situations.
Required profile
- Experience in victim advocacy, crisis intervention, or related social‑service fields.
- Ability to assess imminent health or safety risks and make appropriate referrals.
- Strong knowledge of domestic violence resources and military family support systems.
- Excellent communication skills and capacity to maintain confidentiality.
