Metrology Algorithm Developer for R&D TCT Korea

About the role

Applied Materials is seeking a Metrology Algorithm Developer to join its R&D Technology and Collaboration Team in Hwaseong, Korea. The role focuses on developing and supporting eBeam (SEM) metrology algorithms, integrating them into large systems, and working directly with customers to improve measurement reliability.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and support Metrology eBeam algorithm solutions, collaborating with PDC and AMIND groups.
• Integrate algorithms into hardware and software platforms, ensuring performance and reliability.
• Engage with customers to deploy algorithms, provide training, and troubleshoot issues on site.
• Produce software specifications and production code to meet project milestones.
• Research and prototype next‑generation algorithm features using computer vision, machine learning, and deep learning techniques.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field.
• More than 3 years of hands‑on experience with computer vision and image‑processing algorithms.
• Strong theoretical foundation in probability, statistics, and algorithm development.
• Fluent English communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Willingness to travel up to 30% of the time, including initial on‑site visits.
