Materials Planner

About the role

MKS Korea is looking for a Materials Planner to partner with Procurement, Production, Supply Planning, Sales and Finance teams and develop and execute material planning strategies that ensure material availability and optimise inventory. The role reports to the SCM Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain material plans supporting production schedules and customer demand.
• Monitor inventory levels and ensure optimal stock availability while minimising excess and obsolete inventory.
• Collaborate with Procurement, Production, Warehouse and Sales teams to ensure timely material availability.
• Manage material shortages and coordinate recovery plans to minimise production disruptions.
• Drive continuous improvement in planning processes, inventory accuracy and supply chain efficiency.
• Manage import and export customs clearance, working with customs brokers and freight forwarders to ensure compliance with trade regulations and timely material movement.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering or a related field.
• 1+ years of experience in Material Planning, Supply Chain, Logistics, Inventory Management or related functions.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, written and verbal, preferred.
• Primarily office-based, with occasional walks through warehouse and production areas and the ability to sit at a computer for long periods; flexibility for urgent shortages, inventory counts and month-end activities.
• Up to 10% travel may be required.

Required skills

• Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP preferred).
• Advanced Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
