LCL Operations Agent

About the role

The LCL Operations Agent is responsible for executing and managing end‑to‑end Less‑than‑Container Load (LCL) export and import operations within the Maersk network in Korea. The role ensures operational excellence, data accuracy, cost control and seamless coordination among customers, vendors, gateways and internal stakeholders. It supports efficient cargo movement and a high‑quality customer experience.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate end‑to‑end LCL export and import shipment operations.
• Review and manage shipping documentation such as House Bills of Lading, commercial invoices and packing lists.
• Maintain accurate system data and timely milestone updates throughout the shipment lifecycle.
• Monitor and correct booking, cargo and shipment information to ensure data quality and compliance.
• Manage Container Freight Station (CFS) inbound/outbound activities and shipment tracking.
• Validate vendor invoices, operational costs and billing‑related information.
• Collaborate with CFS operators, truckers, gateways, carriers, overseas offices and internal teams to ensure smooth cargo flow.
• Communicate shipment status, schedule changes and exceptions proactively to customers and internal teams.
• Identify operational risks, escalate exceptions and drive corrective actions.
• Participate in operational meetings, process improvement initiatives and business projects.

Required profile

• Drives proactive communication and collaboration across functions.
• Supports customer satisfaction through timely and effective issue resolution.

Required skills

• Experience in freight forwarding, logistics, supply chain or transportation operations.
• Understanding of import/export documentation and international logistics processes.
• Strong operational execution and customer service skills.
• Ability to manage multiple shipments and priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Stakeholder management and relationship‑building capabilities.
• Detail‑oriented with high accuracy in data and documentation management.
• Analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Professional communication skills in both Korean and English.
