Investment Banking Analyst – Global Banking (Seoul)

About the role

UBS is seeking an Investment Banking Analyst to join its Global Banking team in Seoul. The analyst will support the Korea coverage group by preparing pitch materials, building financial models, and assisting in transaction execution. This role offers exposure to a variety of public and private deals across multiple industries.

Key responsibilities

• Develop pitch‑book presentations that explain industry trends, client options, and strategic recommendations.
• Generate innovative ideas and approaches to advance client engagements.
• Identify client needs and collaborate with colleagues, investors, and advisors.
• Create and analyse financial models for potential transactions and client pitches.
• Spot problems, develop alternatives, and propose solutions as a contingency planner.
• Lead execution and project management of transactions, coordinating bankers, legal counsel, tax advisors, and due‑diligence processes.
• Participate actively in negotiations and preparation of legal documentation.

Required profile

• 1‑3 years of experience in investment banking or a closely related field; recent graduates may also be considered.
• Undergraduate degree from a reputable institution with strong academic performance.
• Excellent communication skills in English and Korean.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines, manage multiple topics, and deliver high‑quality work.
• Team‑oriented mindset with high integrity and creativity.
