Head of APAC Sales

About the role

Speak is scaling its B2B language‑learning business across APAC and needs a senior sales leader to drive exponential growth. You will own the go‑to‑market strategy for South Korea, Japan, Taiwan and emerging markets, while building and mentoring high‑performing local teams. This role sits at the intersection of sales, product, and customer success, reporting to global leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the regional sales strategy, setting revenue targets, priorities and resource plans in alignment with global leadership.
• Manage and coach local sales teams (Account Executives, SDR leaders) across South Korea, Japan and Taiwan, fostering a culture of accountability and high‑velocity execution.
• Drive new‑logo acquisition and account expansion by engaging C‑level stakeholders in target verticals and partnering with CSM and partner operations for upsell and cross‑sell opportunities.
• Build and refine outbound prospecting motions and inbound qualification processes to achieve near‑100% conversion on inbound leads.
• Provide market‑specific feedback to Product, Engineering and Content teams and collaborate with Finance/Operations for accurate forecasting and quota setting.

Required profile

• 10+ years of B2B sales experience with at least 4 years leading APAC or multi‑country teams.
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding ARR targets in enterprise software, SaaS, L&D or related tech sectors.
• Demonstrated ability to build and coach distributed, multicultural sales teams from the ground up.
• Executive presence and hands‑on coaching skills that have directly improved win rates and deal outcomes.
• Strong cross‑cultural competence and fluency in business English, with deep understanding of APAC sales etiquette and customs.
