EHS Manager, Korea

About the role

Sika Korea, a subsidiary of Sika AG, is hiring an EHS Manager covering the whole of Korea, which includes three factories including an R&D lab and one headquarters office. The role provides expertise in EHS and sustainability programs and drives continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with national and local environmental, health and safety regulations.
• Lead improvements in the EHS program, system, culture, awareness and accountability together with factory operations and local leadership.
• Conduct incident and accident investigations and develop corrective and preventative action plans.
• Provide leadership, support and training to build the technical, management and leadership skills of the Korean EHS team.
• Partner with the group and region EHS teams to support Sika's EHS strategy.
• Support and develop safety and health-related activities and programs.
• Take full responsibility for the Korean SAPA (Serious Accidents Punishment Act) and harmonize Sika's EHS policy with it.

Required profile

• 7 to 10 years of experience in safety and health regulations within a multinational company.
• Industrial Safety Engineer certificate (산업안전기사).
• Bachelor's degree from a reputable university; chemical background preferred.
• Excellent English and good computer skills; MS Office proficiency preferred.
• Experience with SAP, ERP or similar business applications is a plus.
• Strong communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
