Director, Korea Head of Global Workplace & Infrastructure

About the role

Applied Materials is expanding its presence in Korea and seeks a senior leader to head the Global Workplace & Infrastructure (GWI) organization across all Korean locations. The role oversees the full asset lifecycle for manufacturing, service, logistics, cleanroom R&D labs, and customer-facing offices, including major capital programs.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a multi‑year portfolio strategy aligned with business growth, financial plans, and infrastructure objectives.
• Lead the full lifecycle of real estate, workplace, and site services, from site selection and design through construction, commissioning, and ongoing facilities management.
• Own capital and operating expense plans, identify cost‑efficiency opportunities, and manage vendor performance using KPIs and service‑level expectations.
• Partner with site leadership to prioritize requests, resolve issues, and ensure effective communication supporting employee experience.
• Establish governance mechanisms for timely alignment, decision‑making, and trade‑off resolution across GWI initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, Finance, Business Management, Real Estate, Construction Management, Facilities Management, or related field.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in real estate, construction, facilities operations, or workplace services, preferably in technology, semiconductor, or advanced manufacturing environments.
• Proven ability to translate strategic insight into operational plans, lead multi‑location teams, and drive continuous improvement.
• Strong business judgment, financial acumen, and executive communication skills.

Required skills

• Experience managing full facility lifecycle phases: planning, transactions, design, construction, operations, and portfolio optimization.
• Ability to lead through ambiguity, balance competing priorities, and make sound decisions in a matrixed global environment.
