Compute Country Lead, Korea

About the role

Anthropic is expanding its global compute footprint and is looking for a Compute Country Lead in Korea. The leader will own the end‑to‑end compute strategy, coordinating site selection, leasing, energy, financing, construction and operations to bring multiple gigawatts of capacity online. The role reports to global functional leads in San Francisco while acting as Anthropic’s external face with Korean government and industry.

Key responsibilities

• Define and drive the complete compute build‑out roadmap in Korea, from site identification through construction and operational launch.
• Coordinate cross‑functional workstreams—including leasing, financing, energy procurement, government relations, community engagement, construction and operations—ensuring alignment and removing blockers.
• Represent Anthropic with senior officials, utilities, energy providers and other external stakeholders to secure sites, power contracts and policy support.
• Monitor progress, surface risks and translate global compute priorities into the Korean regulatory and market context.

Required profile

• Korean national with established relationships in government and the energy sector (strongly preferred).
• Proven ability to lead and align cross‑functional teams without direct authority.
• Highly organized, detail‑oriented and comfortable operating in ambiguous, fast‑moving environments.
• Background in energy, infrastructure or related large‑scale projects.
