Clinical Research Associate

About the role

AbbVie is seeking a Clinical Research Associate to support its clinical trial portfolio in Seoul. The role focuses on site engagement, monitoring, and ensuring data integrity while fostering strong partnerships with investigators and site staff.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for investigative sites, providing trial information and training.
• Conduct site evaluations, routine monitoring, and site closure activities in compliance with protocol, GCP, ICH guidelines, and AbbVie SOPs.
• Utilize CRM tools to track site engagement, report progress, and measure impact of strategies.
• Assess recruitment and retention plans, applying risk‑based monitoring to identify and mitigate site risks.
• Ensure timely and accurate data submission, manage investigator payments, and maintain audit and inspection readiness.

Required profile

• Relevant tertiary qualification in a health‑related discipline (e.g., medical, scientific, nursing).
• Minimum 1 year of clinical research experience, including at least 6 months of monitoring investigational drug or device trials.
• Proficiency in Korean (written and verbal) and strong English communication skills.
• Knowledge of local regulatory requirements, ICH/GCP guidelines, and risk‑based monitoring approaches.
