Clean Energy Infrastructure Investment Manager

About the role

Nuveen, the investment management arm of TIAA, is seeking a South Korea Investment Manager to lead the origination, acquisition, financing and divestment of renewable energy assets across solar, wind and storage projects in South Korea.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct market and competition analysis to shape capital deployment strategy for solar, on‑shore and off‑shore wind, and storage projects.
• Lead origination and execution of clean‑energy investments, including acquisitions, mergers, project finance and divestitures, managing a small internal team and external advisors.
• Oversee financial modelling, investment proposals and presentation to the Investment Committee.
• Build and maintain relationships with co‑investors, developers, lenders, EPC contractors and regulatory bodies.
• Negotiate debt financing and key economic terms with banks and counterparties.
• Act as board member or director of investee companies and monitor portfolio performance.

Required profile

• 5‑10 years of relevant experience in South Korea, with a strong project‑finance background in power and renewable energy.
• Proven track record in originating and closing renewable‑energy transactions, including joint‑development agreements.
• Native Korean speaker with fluent English.
• Experience leading small investment teams and managing external advisors.
