Education Counselor – South Korea

About the role

The Education Counselor guides students who aspire to study abroad, providing accurate advice on courses, universities, admission procedures, and documentation. The role involves one‑on‑one counseling, application assistance, test preparation advice, financial guidance, and visa support.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct individual counseling sessions to understand students' academic backgrounds, career goals, and study‑abroad aspirations.
• Provide detailed information on study programs, universities, admission requirements, scholarships, and immigration procedures.
• Assist students in shortlisting suitable universities, completing application forms, and reviewing essays, statements of purpose, and resumes.
• Advise on standardized tests such as IELTS and PTE, monitor preparation progress, and offer feedback.
• Inform students about tuition, living costs, healthcare, and guide them toward scholarships, grants, and financial‑aid options.
• Support students through visa application processes and maintain regular follow‑up to maximize conversion targets.
• Represent the consultancy at education fairs, seminars, and workshops to promote services and build partnerships.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Management, Business Administration or related field; Master’s preferred.
• Minimum 2 years experience in educational consultancy or study‑abroad counseling.
• Strong knowledge of study‑abroad processes, admissions, and visa requirements.
• Excellent counseling, relationship‑management, written and verbal communication skills.
• High integrity, confidentiality, professionalism, and strong organizational abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Experience using CRM software
