Supply Chain Planning Manager – Fixed‑term Maternity Cover

About the role

Alcon, a global leader in eye care, is seeking a Supply Chain Planning Manager to cover a maternity leave on a fixed‑term basis. Reporting to the Global Supply Chain Planning Director, you will support the Vision Care S&OP team across the Korean market, ensuring demand‑supply alignment and execution excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in the weekly Value Stream Rhythm (S&OE) for all regional markets.
• Execute near‑term demand‑supply alignment (0‑3 month horizon) within S&OP‑approved plans.
• Act as the single intake point for short‑term commercial requests, coordinating cross‑functional feasibility, execution, and closure.
• Allocate supply and inventory according to leadership‑approved rules during constraints.
• Maintain real‑time visibility on service levels, backlog, and near‑term risks.
• Perform root‑cause analysis on service, backlog, and inventory issues.
• Prepare weekly execution packs and decks for S&OE review, highlighting off‑plan items, risks, and impacts.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in demand planning, forecasting or supply‑chain analytics.
• Strong knowledge of S&OP/IBP processes.
• Fluent in English (written and verbal).
• Ability to report to the regional manager.

Required skills

• Proficiency with forecasting tools.
• Experience with advanced planning systems such as SAP IBP, o9, Kinaxis, or APO.
• Strong analytical capability.
