Application Engineer (ETCH)

About the role

Applied Materials is seeking an experienced Application Engineer specialized in semiconductor Etch processes to support service product development and deployment at customer sites.

Key responsibilities

• Provide 7+ years of hands‑on Etch process and hardware expertise in lab and fab environments.
• Develop and optimize new service products (NPI alpha) in the lab and at customer fabs.
• Deploy service solutions to address high‑value problems, troubleshoot issues, and validate field performance.
• Lead projects to meet KPIs and deliver successful outcomes at customer locations.
• Communicate progress, results, and next steps clearly to internal and external stakeholders.
• Document best‑known methods and create training materials for “train‑the‑trainer” programs.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of semiconductor Etch process and hardware experience.
• Experience with state‑of‑the‑art analytics applications.
• Willingness to travel internationally up to 25% of the time.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and lead cross‑functional projects.
