Buildings and Systems Engineering (BaSE) Specialist

About the role

The Buildings and Systems Engineering (BaSE) Specialist supports the protection and reliable operation of UPS facilities and material handling equipment in Korea. You will ensure safe, compliant, and efficient conveyor systems while contributing to facility upgrades and environmental programs.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and troubleshoot conveyor equipment and building systems.
• Provide daily technical support, schedule preventive maintenance inspections (PMI), and manage purchase orders, contracts, and RFA processes.
• Investigate root causes of performance issues using system analysis tools and implement corrective actions.
• Communicate with supervisors and operations management to reduce downtime.
• Dispatch and supervise field‑support vendors, mechanics, and contractors, ensuring quality work.
• Order parts, manage inventory, and assist with project management for equipment installations and facility modifications.
• Prepare estimates, drawings, bid documents, and manage project budgets.
• Support safety and environmental compliance programs, conduct audits, and train staff.
• Oversee housekeeping contractors and maintain facility cleanliness.

Required profile

• Technical knowledge of conveyor and building systems.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Experience supervising contractors and managing projects.
• Ability to handle budgeting and procurement processes.
• Familiarity with safety and environmental regulations.
