Associate, Research and Analysis

About the role

ANZ is seeking an Associate in Research & Analysis for its Institutional Banking division in Seoul. The role focuses on identifying and managing risks in client asset classes and supporting relationship teams to deliver sustainable financial returns.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with Relationship Managers on client visits to understand business models, financial positions and industry dynamics.
• Deliver timely annual credit reviews and support new client opportunities.
• Structure risk‑mitigated credit facilities aligned with bank objectives.
• Identify, assess and manage emerging credit risks using a forward‑looking approach.
• Maintain portfolio credit quality within agreed risk appetite and parameters.
• Ensure compliance with ANZ credit policies, procedures and governance standards.
• Collaborate with Relationship Teams, Lending Operations, Product Partners and Risk stakeholders.
• Build and sustain strong working relationships across local teams and the broader ANZ network.

Required profile

• Proven experience in credit analysis within the institutional or large corporate space.
• Knowledge of banking products and structures.
• Ability to drive revenue growth while optimizing Risk‑Weighted Assets.
• Strong understanding of client business models, financial statements and industry dynamics.
• Commitment to adhere to credit policies and achieve satisfactory audit outcomes.
