UX Designer – AI Mobile App
bjakcareer · Seoul
Job description
About the role
ActAI builds proactive, agent-first mobile applications for people who are not used to complex prompting, aiming to bring intelligence to communication, coordination and collaboration with minimal prompting. As a UX designer you will own the UX of the core app experience, designing end-to-end flows that feel clear, reliable and controllable. The role suits someone who understands both user needs and AI system behavior.
Key responsibilities
- Own the UX of the core app surfaces across iOS, Android and web.
- Design complete user flows for AI-assisted tasks, from intent capture through to task completion, including handoff, progress tracking and error recovery.
- Design how the app shows what the AI is doing, its decisions and what the user must confirm or adjust.
- Map and design the full range of AI states users encounter: loading, thinking, acting, waiting, completing, stalling, failing and recovering.
- Work with product, engineering and ML teams to turn user requirements into concrete design solutions.
- Conduct usability research to find where users lose trust, feel uncertain or disengage.
- Produce wireframes, user flows and high-fidelity designs that engineering can build from directly.
- Contribute to the design system and shared UX patterns for AI app surfaces.
- Design both simple everyday interactions and complex multi-step AI workflows in the same product.
Required profile
- UX designer experience on consumer mobile or web apps with a strong portfolio.
- Ability to design for systems that are asynchronous, non-deterministic and context-dependent.
- Clear thinking about user trust, control, feedback and transparency in AI-driven products.
- Experience conducting user research and turning findings into design decisions.
- Comfortable in fast-moving teams with evolving product scope, able to balance simple consumer UX with complex AI behavior.
- Good judgment on usability, edge cases, failure handling and recovery flows.
Required skills
- User flow design, wireframing and high-fidelity prototyping in Figma.
- Usability research.
Candidates apply with a portfolio; a shortlist receives two interview rounds and a design assessment, held virtually and/or onsite.
