Technical Support Engineer

About the role

Cohesity, a leader in AI-powered data security, is hiring a Technical Support Engineer for its local support centre in Seoul. This is a senior technical support position where you will work alongside other engineers so that Cohesity customers receive the highest level of support. The role suits people with deep technical expertise and strong communication and customer service skills.

Key responsibilities

• Work with Cohesity customers to resolve technical issues quickly.
• Investigate and troubleshoot issues using available tools.
• Record customer interactions, including investigation, troubleshooting and resolution.
• Work closely with Cohesity engineering and account management teams.
• Select methods and techniques judiciously and manage your workload so issues are resolved on time.
• Help develop reusable self-service solutions and write knowledge base articles.
• Mentor other engineers.

Required profile

• 3-12 years of experience in storage, networking and virtualization environments.
• Ability to analyze system diagnostics and explain the issue clearly to customers.
• Demonstrated ability to use AI tools to improve productivity and decision making.
• Strong Linux administration experience.

Required skills

• Linux debugging utilities: systemtap, tcpdump, ftrace, strace, wireshark, gdb, crash.
• Remote file access protocols such as NFS and SMB (CIFS).
• Storage concepts, virtualization and data protection (VMware, CommVault, Symantec, EMC, NetApp).

In-office expectations: employees within a 45-minute commute work 2-3 days a week in the office, and Cohesity prefers candidates living in or near the job location.
