Senior Security Architect – Applied Field Engineering

About the role

Snowflake is looking for a highly specialized Senior Security Architect to serve as the primary South Korean security expert within the APJ Field CTO Office. You will bridge global cloud data architecture with Korea’s rigorous regulatory frameworks, driving secure, AI‑enabled data solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Help scope security‑related feature enhancements for the local market and work with Product Management and Engineering.
• Drive Snowflake adoption by advising customers and engineering teams on building Korea‑compliant Data and AI architectures.
• Collaborate with Sales, Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Support to promote security feature adoption.
• Partner with Product Marketing to define Snowflake’s AI and Data Cloud security posture and support pipeline building through conferences and events.
• Work with other Field CTO members as a security expert across Enterprise AI, Gen AI, Data Engineering, and Applications teams.

Required profile

• 7‑10+ years of hands‑on information security experience, including 5+ years focused on cloud security architecture.
• Native or professional fluency in Korean and professional‑level English.
• 10+ years of industry, customer‑facing implementation experience with data, privacy, governance, networking, and infosec technologies.
• Proven experience selling enterprise SaaS software in the South Korean market.

Required skills

• Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, Korean CSPs such as Naver Cloud/NHN).
• IAM/RBAC, OAuth, SCIM, TCP/IP, DNS, proxies, NAT, firewalls, TLS, PrivateLink.
• AI security principles and emerging Agentic Identity concepts.
• Audit lifecycle management, gap assessments, control implementation, evidence collection.
• Security frameworks: NIST, CIS, OWASP, MITRE ATT&CK.
• SQL, Python, APIs, Kubernetes, Terraform (bonus but mentioned).
