Senior Data Analyst – Catalog

About the role

The Catalog team shapes how customers discover and purchase products online. This senior position blends business analysis, statistical methodology, and data engineering to turn vague business questions into measurable insights.

Key responsibilities

• Advanced analytics & problem solving: transform vague business questions into structured analytical problems, conduct exploratory data analysis, time‑series, segmentation, cohort analysis, and design experiments using Python or R.
• Data engineering & infrastructure support: design, build, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines, data lake architecture, and API integrations with modern warehouses such as Snowflake or BigQuery; implement data quality checks and optimize SQL queries.
• Business partnership & solution design: collaborate with catalog and cross‑functional teams to translate requirements into data models, analytical frameworks, and dashboards; partner on special projects to diagnose and mitigate business challenges.

Required profile

• Strong business analysis and problem‑solving skills, capable of hypothesis‑driven analysis and systems thinking.
• Experience with advanced data analysis using Python or R (EDA, feature engineering, time‑series, cohort, segmentation).
• Solid background in statistical methods, experimental design, hypothesis testing, and statistical inference.
• Advanced SQL expertise and experience optimizing queries in modern data warehouses (Snowflake, BigQuery).
• Familiarity with data engineering concepts such as ETL/ELT pipelines, data modeling, and API integration.
