Professional Education Manager - Da Vinci Surgical Training

About the role

Intuitive, a pioneer in robotic-assisted surgery, is hiring a Professional Education Manager in Seoul. Reporting to the Customer Training Manager or equivalent, the role works cross-functionally with sales, marketing and engineering to deliver high-impact training for da Vinci surgeons across surgical specialties, and helps continuously improve customer training programs.

Key responsibilities

• Lead one or more clinical verticals to develop surgeon-led training programs for surgeons and staff
• Identify high-volume users and opinion leaders who could host courses as Teacher KOLs, vet and onboard them, and give feedback on delivery, presentation and lab execution
• Take part in discussions with marketing on Teacher KOL selection, society partnerships, forecasting and course planning, and with commercial teams on adoption strategy
• Create and revise course agendas and obtain regulatory approval, and use data to forecast course mixes
• Coordinate lab events nationwide with Customer Training Support and Managers, attend surgical society events to build relationships with KOLs, and liaise with other medical device companies
• Deliver technology training for surgical teams, residents and fellows at designated and remote training centers, and occasionally support the da Vinci system in an operating room
• Run reports on Salesforce.com and Tableau to spot trends and opportunities
• Provide 4 or more technical trainings per quarter if needed

Required profile

• 6+ years of experience, including 3+ years in training or professional education
• Bachelor's degree, preferably in Clinical or Health Sciences, Healthcare Management, Engineering, Business Administration, Communications or Education
• Ability to travel up to 50%

Required skills

• Medical-device experience preferred
• Knowledge of adult learning principles preferred
