FP&A Analyst (Fixed Term)

About the role

AbbVie is hiring an FP&A Analyst on a fixed-term basis in Seoul, South Korea. The role supports financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, reporting and variance analysis for the business, working under the guidance of the FP&A Manager. It also contributes to business-partnering activities and provides timely insights for decision-making.

Key responsibilities

• Support annual planning, budgeting and periodic forecasting by preparing templates, consolidating inputs and reviewing assumptions.
• Prepare P&L and balance-sheet analyses, monthly management reports and variance commentary against budget, forecast and prior periods.
• Assist with financial modelling, scenario analysis and ad-hoc analyses to support commercial and operational decisions.
• Analyse financial and operational data, identify trends and risks and share practical observations under manager guidance.
• Maintain data integrity, follow financial policies and controls and support accurate, timely reporting.
• Contribute to improving and automating reporting processes, tools and recurring analyses.
• Coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders to gather inputs and support planning and reporting timelines.
• Prepare and present concise findings and supporting materials for finance and business discussions.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics or a related field.
• 2-4 years of experience in FP&A, financial analysis or corporate finance roles.
• Strong communication, organisation and attention to detail, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
• Fluent English preferred.

Required skills

• Strong Excel skills and analytical ability to organise, interpret and communicate financial information.
• Preferred: exposure to SAP or other financial systems and business intelligence tools.
• Preferred: CPA or CMA certification, knowledge of cost accounting, pricing strategies and revenue recognition, and familiarity with automation and process improvement in financial reporting.
