Field Medical Partner – Ophthalmology

About the role

The Field Medical Partner is a field‑based medical expert who builds scientific relationships with therapeutic area experts and healthcare professionals to support Roche's medical and clinical strategy in ophthalmology.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary medical contact for key therapeutic area experts, establishing scientific collaborations and value‑based partnerships.
• Develop deep understanding of the patient journey, derive actionable insights, and co‑create medical activities that add value to the medical community.
• Drive evidence generation, scientific exchange, and support clinical programs including investigator‑initiated studies.
• Collaborate with affiliate and global teams, and contribute to squad objectives and knowledge exchange.

Required profile

• University degree in Medicine, Pharmacy, Nursing or Biology; advanced degree strongly preferred.
• 3–5 years of experience in medical affairs within the therapeutic area, preferably field‑based.
• In‑depth scientific and clinical knowledge of ophthalmology and understanding of R&D and medical affairs strategies.
• Good knowledge of clinical trial regulations (ICH‑GCP and local).

Required skills

• Proficiency in English (verbal and written).
• Knowledge of Real World Evidence (RWE) and digital tools for customer engagement.
• Experience with agile working principles and methodologies.
