Customer Engineer – ETCH Equipment

About the role

The Customer Engineer serves as the direct liaison with customers, installing, maintaining and upgrading ETCH equipment. You will use digital analytics for troubleshooting and apply basic diagnostic techniques under guidance from senior engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with Senior Field Service Engineers to install, maintain and upgrade customer equipment.
• Use digital analytics and basic diagnostic techniques to assess and resolve equipment issues.
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on electrical, vacuum, mechanical, plasma, hydraulic and gas systems (training provided).
• Coordinate and communicate directly with customers to ensure smooth operations.
• Fulfill additional duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Associate degree, military technical training, field service experience or trade certification.
• 1–2 years of customer/field service support experience (2–4 years preferred).
• Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics.
• Basic mechanical aptitude with pneumatics, hydraulics, electronics, vacuum or thermodynamics.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain a passport for travel.

• Proficiency with hand tools and digital multimeters.
• Reading electrical and mechanical schematics.
• Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
