Communications Intern – Incheon

About the role

The United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) is looking for a Communications Intern to support its Subregional Office for East and North‑East Asia (SOENEA) in Incheon, South Korea. This is a full‑time, unpaid internship lasting three to six months, offering hands‑on experience in multimedia production, visual communication, and outreach for regional cooperation initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Design and produce event flyers, posters, factsheets, infographics, and other visual communication materials.
• Prepare PowerPoint presentations and other communication products.
• Produce short promotional video clips and event highlights.
• Support website and social‑media content development.
• Assist with photography, video editing, and multimedia production.
• Ensure branding and layout design follow UN visual identity guidelines.
• Help with outreach and visibility activities for meetings and regional forums.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Enrolled in or completed a graduate programme, or in the final academic year of a bachelor’s programme.
• Fluency in spoken and written English (additional UN language is a plus).
• Strong interest in communications, media, design, and international development.
• Ability to work full‑time (40 hours/week) under supervision.
