Air Planning Associate

About the role

The Air Planning Associate supports Flexport’s mission to simplify global trade by managing air freight operations for both export and import shipments. The role serves partners, carriers, and internal teams in the Seoul region, handling shipment tracking, capacity planning, and customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Manage capacity and fulfillment of Flexport’s charter flights and blocked space with carriers, ensuring requirements are met.
• Consolidate shipments to optimize margin, generate free weight, and meet customer service levels.
• Coordinate shipment movement with partners, air pricing, and operations teams across destinations.
• Oversee import clearance and de‑consolidation, working with import partners to resolve exceptions.
• Collaborate with the tech team to enhance the Flexport Air Planning Tool and handle customer inquiries.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree and 2–3 years of experience in air freight forwarding or logistics.
• Proven success in an operational or planning role with strong problem‑solving abilities.
• Client‑service mindset and flexibility to work outside regular hours, including occasional weekends or night shifts.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
