AI Analytics Data Scientist / Consultant

About the role

This role sits within a client's Digital Practice and is aimed at a consultant-type data scientist who translates business problems into data and turns analytical output into executive-level recommendations. It covers consumer goods, commerce, retail, electronics, chemicals and manufacturing. The role involves multi-stakeholder coordination across field operations, business functions and IT.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose client analytical maturity and set a target direction through benchmarking
• Turn business issues into analytical problems and document current state and improvement opportunities
• Design domain-informed variables, assess data limits and integrate external data
• Decide between single models and hybrid approaches, then build and tune statistical, machine learning and deep learning models with explainability in mind
• Frame results in terms of business impact and communicate them in executive language
• Use Gen AI and LLM techniques to deepen insight and shorten analysis lead time
• Embed models in dashboards, support automated AI-agent implementation and coordinate stakeholders across field, business and IT, including change management

Required profile

• Proficiency in data preprocessing and advanced statistical and machine learning modelling
• SQL and Python
• Experience validating hypotheses with regression, ANOVA and correlation analysis, and building ML/DL predictive models
• Experience translating analytical results into business language and working across business, IT and DX functions
• Preferred: consulting or in-house strategy/analytics background, bachelor's degree in a related field, industry analytics experience, Gen AI/LLM practice, DW/DM metric design knowledge, and BI dashboard tools such as Tableau or Power BI
