AEM Process Engineer – Contract (Yeosu)

About the role

The Yeosu AEM Process Engineer will join BASF's electronic materials plant on a fixed‑term contract. The role focuses on delivering CAPEX projects, optimizing process performance, and ensuring safe, efficient production of new products.

Key responsibilities

• Lead CAPEX projects as the process engineer, supervising installation and start‑up of new facilities.
• Participate in Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) and correct any implementation issues.
• Maintain and optimise the process system, drive OpEx initiatives, and update P&ID, operation manuals, SOPs and work procedures.
• Prepare technical reports and implement Management of Change (MOC) to improve safety, quality and efficiency.
• Develop raw‑material and finished‑goods inventory plans and manage them through S&OP meetings.
• Ensure compliance with EHS regulations, conduct regular safety patrols and provide field coaching.
• Report production statistics, adjust schedules, control utility consumption and analyse production costs.
• Lead and train plant operators to achieve stable and safe plant operation.

Required profile

• Experience as a process engineer in a chemical or electronic materials environment.
• Proven ability to manage CAPEX projects and oversee installation and start‑up activities.
• Strong understanding of process optimisation, OpEx, and safety management systems.
• Effective communication skills for reporting, training and cross‑functional collaboration.
