Specialist Solutions Architect - Security

About the role

Databricks is hiring a Specialist Solutions Architect (SSA) for Security in Seoul. This is a customer-facing role that guides customers in building big data solutions on Databricks across many use cases, working alongside Solution Architects and supporting their security teams through security reviews for data platform adoption. The SSA helps customers design and implement essential workloads and aligns their roadmap for expanding use of the Databricks Data Intelligence Platform, reporting to the Specialist Field Engineering Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership to strategic customers, covering architectural and security design, development and deployment best practices including automation
• Architect security solutions and reference architectures that meet customers' security requirements
• Provide technical expertise in cloud infrastructure and security for the Databricks Intelligence Platform
• Support Solution Architects with advanced sales aspects such as custom proof of concepts, security reviews and custom architectures
• Improve community adoption through tutorials, training, hackathons and conference presentations
• Contribute to the Databricks Community as a technical subject matter expert

Required profile

• 5+ years of pre-sales or post-sales experience with external clients across various industries
• 3+ years designing cloud infrastructure and services such as AWS, Azure or GCP, with cloud security and networking best practices
• Experience designing and implementing a security lakehouse or security data platform on Databricks to augment SIEM, enable security analytics and threat hunting, and build advanced detections
• Native Korean is a must; business-level English is preferred

Required skills

• Cloud networks and connectivity (VPC/VNet design, routing, segmentation, private connectivity)
• Identity and access management (role-based access control, least privilege, integration with IdPs)
• Hands-on cloud infrastructure automation (Terraform or ARM, CloudFormation)
• CI/CD, unit and integration testing, and automation/orchestration
• Nice to have: Databricks certification
