Senior Field Product Readiness Engineer

About the role

The Field Product Readiness Engineer leads service product readiness execution for complex semiconductor equipment across multiple modules and sites, ensuring smooth transition from early readiness activities through NPI and high‑volume manufacturing.

Key responsibilities

• Lead readiness validation for complex products, new modules, or multi‑site streams covering documentation, tooling, training, spare strategy and AIx readiness.
• Drive closure of cross‑functional gaps before field introduction, providing technical recommendations to improve serviceability.
• Execute first‑install and readiness activities, capture lessons learned and embed them into knowledge transfer for local teams.
• Validate and improve CE tooling, jigs, install, PM and CM procedures, and feed structured feedback to SBU teams.
• Develop out‑of‑control action plans, escalation structures and use FMECA learning to drive systemic fixes.
• Lead field sprint planning, execution, backlog management and KPI tracking (MTBF, FTR, defect rate, etc.).
• Act as primary liaison with SBU TPM, field, BU, GPS and customer technical counterparts, communicating technical concepts and aligning stakeholders.
• Lead experiments, tool data analysis and partner with AIx to ensure proactive digital solution coverage for CM and PM trends.

Required profile

• 7‑10 years hands‑on experience with Etch, Metal Deposition (MDP) or Dielectric Deposition (DDP) products.
• Deep expertise in product readiness, serviceability and product introduction, with strong system‑level understanding of equipment and fab operations.
• Proven problem‑solving ability using multiple data sources, field evidence and customer context.
• Project‑management discipline including sprint execution, backlog management, KPI tracking and risk closure.
• Strong written and spoken communication skills with ability to influence without authority.
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, materials, chemical, industrial, automation engineering or related field.
