Senior Cyber Systems Engineer

About the role

Peraton is seeking a Senior Cyber Systems Engineer to support United States Forces Korea (USFK) and the U.S. Eighth Army G6. The position provides cyber defense and security engineering for Army forces stationed in South Korea.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor, analyze, and detect cyber events and incidents across information systems and networks.
• Maintain and coordinate security toolsets for continuous monitoring and authorization programs.
• Define and quantify cyber risk, conduct vulnerability analyses, and develop risk assessments.
• Design, implement, and test intrusion detection methodologies and security systems.
• Develop and deliver training programs and incident response analyses.

Required profile

• Active TS/SCI security clearance and U.S. citizenship.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Minimum four years supporting Cyber Security Service Provider (CSSP) and U.S. Army Endpoint Security System/Host Based Security System.
• DoD 8570.01‑M/DoD 8140 CSSP Level II certification (e.g., Security+, CEH, CySA+).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience briefing senior leaders.
