Public Relations Manager

About the role

The International Rescue Committee (IRC) is seeking a Public Relations Manager for its Seoul office. Reporting to the Senior Communications Manager for IRC Korea, you will collaborate with global and Korean teams to elevate IRC’s profile through strategic PR initiatives, media outreach, and brand messaging.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strategic brand positioning and messaging aligned with IRC’s global communications and Korean priorities.
• Partner with digital communications, fundraising, and policy teams to craft proactive and reactive messages for campaigns, news cycles, and political developments.
• Monitor Korean media and political trends, identifying issues and opportunities for PR engagement.
• Act as the primary press contact and media liaison, securing coverage that supports fundraising and corporate partnership goals.
• Coordinate PR activities with global colleagues to ensure consistent messaging across all channels.

Required profile

• Proven experience in public relations, media relations, and brand communications.
• Ability to work closely with cross‑functional teams in a fast‑moving humanitarian environment.
• Strong understanding of Korean media landscape and political context.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; Korean language proficiency is advantageous.
