MesoVision Algorithm Developer – Algorithm Engineering

About the role

Applied Materials is seeking a MesoVision Algorithm Developer to lead EDX algorithm engineering and support at customer sites in Korea. The role combines algorithm development, integration, and on‑site troubleshooting to improve measurement reliability for semiconductor equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the local expert for Energy Dispersive X‑ray Spectroscopy (EDX) algorithms, providing on‑site support for measurement error, data reliability, and algorithmic issues.
• Collaborate with the PDC and AMIND algorithm development groups to integrate algorithms into large systems, considering hardware and software constraints.
• Develop software specifications, produce production code, and deliver new algorithm features while meeting project milestones.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot algorithm bugs worldwide, communicate feedback to the PDC Algo group, and support beta testing at customer sites.

Required profile

• Master’s degree or higher with at least 3 years of hands‑on experience in physics and spectrum data analysis.
• Strong foundation in probability, statistics, and signal‑processing algorithms.
• Fluent English (verbal and written) and ability to travel up to 20 % of the time.
• Team player with excellent communication and collaboration skills.
