Korea Regional Planner

About the role

Applied Materials is seeking a Korea Regional Planner to support production, inventory and material resources planning for its Bundang site. You will ensure timely material release, maintain MRP integrity and collaborate with engineering, buyers and finance to keep the manufacturing floor running smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain Oracle work order release schedule and perform rescheduling of discrete jobs as needed.
• Conduct pre‑shortage analysis and work‑order variance analysis to increase component availability.
• Review MRP execution, reconcile supply and demand, and validate master scheduling.
• Manage material impacted by Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and prepare status reports for ECOs/ECRs.
• Perform regular system maintenance, audits and floor audits with Finance to resolve WIP issues.
• Attend production meetings, provide material shortage updates and adjust lead times based on shop‑floor reality.
• Analyze inventory usage, order parts to meet service levels and resolve material variances.
• Drive root‑cause analysis and corrective actions from PCI reporting and variance metrics.
• Act as training focal point, certifying planning community on processes and delivering learning labs.

Required profile

• Demonstrated conceptual and practical expertise in production planning and related disciplines.
• Knowledge of best practices, market competition and how planning integrates with other functions.
• Ability to lead small projects, mentor less‑experienced colleagues and build consensus.
• Strong problem‑solving skills, capable of analyzing multiple information sources.
• Impactful communication with customers, operational teams and related departments.
• Effective interpersonal skills for explaining sensitive information and fostering teamwork.
