Intern, Creative Operations

About the role

Rakuten Viki, a global entertainment streaming platform specializing in Asian content, is hiring an Intern, Creative Operations in Seoul. The intern supports design production for global content releases, such as thumbnails, promotional artwork and title treatments. This is a 6-month internship with the possibility of conversion to a permanent position after completion.

Key responsibilities

• Produce visual assets for Viki's global content library, including thumbnails, promotional artwork and title treatments.
• Create and adapt artwork across formats and aspect ratios using design templates, platform specs and branding guidelines.
• Produce multilingual title treatments by resizing, refining or recreating designs from master artwork while keeping visual consistency across regions and languages.
• Ensure assets comply with metadata safe zones, technical specs and quality standards for web, mobile, tablet and TV.
• Support image retouching, compositing and typography adjustments for dramas, movies, variety shows and other content.
• Manage and organize design files, including naming, version control, exports and uploads.
• Collaborate with Graphic Designers, Content Operations, Marketing and external partners, apply feedback during reviews and track asset status.
• Handle ad-hoc tasks from Creative Operations or Content & Subtitle Operations teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication or a related field; recent graduates encouraged to apply.
• Experience with photo retouching and character compositing.
• High attention to detail, especially with multilingual and localized content.
• Ability to manage several projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced production environment.
• Strong communication skills and collaborative mindset.
• Interest in entertainment, streaming and digital content design; English proficiency is a plus.

Required skills

• Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator for editing, compositing and layout.
• Understanding of typography, composition, layout and visual hierarchy.
• Google Workspace or Microsoft Office.
