Forward Deployed Engineer - New Grad (2027)

About the role

Applied Intuition, a Silicon Valley company building the digital infrastructure for physical AI, is hiring a Forward Deployed Engineer in Seoul. The role works in small teams and owns end-to-end execution of high-impact projects, acting as the technical bridge between the company's technology and customers' real-world environments. It combines technical depth with operational excellence, working directly with customers on software engineering, infrastructure, robotics and systems challenges.

Key responsibilities

• Work directly with customers to deploy and integrate Applied Intuition's products and tools into real-world environments
• Develop new products, features and tools across the entire stack for customers' autonomy development workflows
• Tackle software engineering, infrastructure, robotics and systems challenges
• Collaborate with customers, engineers and product teams to understand problems and deliver solutions
• Gradually take ownership of technical and product decisions and drive projects from development through deployment

Required profile

• BS/MS degree (completed or in progress) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related field, graduating March 2027
• Proven ability as a self-starter who quickly becomes comfortable with new technical tools
• Strong programming skills, with proficiency in C++ or Python
• Experience taking initiative in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication skills and interest in working directly with customers
• Approximately 2 years of experience in any field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Nice to have

• Frontend, API layer, database ORM, containerization or cluster orchestration (React, GraphQL, SQLAlchemy, Docker, Kubernetes)
• Simulation tools, robotics middleware (ROS) or complex software, infrastructure, robotics or hardware experience
• Experience in defense, automotive, robotics or adjacent industries

The company is an in-office organization, expecting full-time employees to work from the office five days a week, with flexibility for occasional remote work. The Seoul team is based in Gangnam and grew after entering the Korean market in 2020.
