Field Service Engineer - MR/PET-CT Equipment (Gwangju)

About the role

GE Healthcare is hiring a field service engineer for its MR/PET-CT equipment in Gwangju. The role covers all resources and logistics needed to perform service and maintenance on customers' sites, including preventive and remedial maintenance, facility management and field service engineering. New entrants are welcome, but candidates with a radiation therapist background or experience as a service engineer for MR/PET-CT equipment are preferred. After 1-2 years of job training in Seoul, the engineer continues working from the Gwangju office.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain all equipment models specific to the assigned modality and troubleshoot complex multi-symptom problems at system level
• Interface daily with doctors and technicians on equipment status issues and ensure customer satisfaction
• Assist in account sales visits, help train others, identify sales opportunities and share best practices
• Support business growth in the geographic area and control warranty and PMS contract costs
• Complete administration tasks on time, including FMI and PMS inspection documentation, and close dispatches promptly
• Play a leading role in complex installations and maintain quality systems compliant with ISO 9001 and the GE Service Quality Policy
• Follow quality and compliance training, report quality or compliance concerns, and take part in continuous improvement

Required profile

• Minimum 0-5 years of field service engineering experience in medical devices
• Electronics or biomedical engineering degree, or equivalent, preferred
• Desired: experience as a GEHC field service intern, experience diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electromechanical and electronic equipment, and experience with internal teams and external customers

• Technical analytical skills and proficiency in English
• Strong customer skills and effective planning and organisation
• Ability to explain complex technical issues clearly
